Taylor currently resides in Central Oregon, where she teaches at several local studios. Having strong love for teaching, creating, and performing, Taylor is planning on starting Central Oregon’s only professional contemporary modern dance company--Further Movement Collective. Her future goals are to earn a Masters Degree and teach in higher education while simultaneously running her company.
Allysen Olsen
July 20th (Wednesday)-July 22nd (Friday)
1pm-4pm
Allysen Olsen grew up on a farm in the wild west with an untamed love for cows and dancing.
The passion, drive, and work ethic she learned
on the farm has led her to her to fall in love with
the ferocious physicality of dance. Graduating
with her Bachelor of Science in dance allowed her to combine her love of movement and science to unlock the efficiency and power of the body. Scholarships
have allowed her to diversify her training by
working with numerous companies and artists
from around the world at various intensives,
conferences, and master classes.
Allysen obtained her BASI Pilates teaching certification in 2020 and currently dances
professionally with Atlas Dance Collective. She shares her experiences with her students at studios, private school dance programs and as Adjunct Professor at Salt Lake Community College. Allysen aspires to continue her research of physicality and the empathetic transfer between dance performer-spectator and use
her research in dance to help others unlock their potential to embody fully and dance confidently
through life.

Entry Level
Entry Level
Entry Level/Pre-conservatory classes are primary classes designed for those looking to discover and grow in a fun and stimulating environment. For children ages 4-8, creative movement and basic ballet principles are utilized to establish classroom etiquette and a positive foundation conducive to learning and artistry.
Level 1
Level 1
In Level 1, dancers are introduced to barre work with an emphasis on an anatomical understanding of turn-out, positions of the arms, and increased proprioception. Level 1 students benefit from the study of classical technique paired with Progressing Ballet Technique to improve body understanding and support safe and healthy development. A traditional class format of barre, center, and moving through space can be expected.
In the upper division of Level 1, dancers are typically between the ages of 8-12 years, and have some ballet experience. However, please note that age is not intended to be a guiding force in registration choices, as all dancers develop at their own rate. If you have any questions about this, please be in touch for personalized recommendations. Dancers in this group are eager to learn more about the basics of ballet and focus on solidifying the foundational concepts and movements of the art form. An evaluation of strength and alignment will precede approval for pointework, as well as an evaluation of bone growth to be mindful of dancer preparedness.
Level 2
Level 2
Level 2 dancers are committed to enhancing their knowledge of basic ballet technique as they grow in personal artistry and expression. As a dancer demonstrates physical and mental maturity paired with physical assessment, select dancers may earn their first pair of Pointe Shoes at this level. Conservatory I students take:
* 3 hours of ballet technique per week
* Progressing Ballet Technique
* PrePointe (en pointe)
In the upper division of Level 2, experienced dancers have the opportunity to build upon their foundational knowledge of the basics and advance skills with complexity and artistry. Dancers enjoy a more intensive training regime which includes ballet technique, pointe, PBT and Contemporary. Conservatory II students take:
* 4 hours of ballet technique per week
* Progressing Ballet Technique
* 2 pointe classes per week
